On a daily basis, ETP works to reduce its climate footprint by electrifying mobile machinery. But for us, sustainability is about more than technology and emissions. An equally important part is taking responsibility for the environment in which we operate – on land and at sea.
Last week, we left the office to join CleanSea in a beach clean-up on the Swedish west coast. The result was 120 kilograms less plastic and rubbish in the sea, but also a day filled with community spirit and reflection on environmental responsibility and the future.
Did you know that every hour, the equivalent of five bathtubs of plastic waste is washed up in Bohuslän alone? If this trend continues at the same rate, the amount of plastic in the oceans could exceed the amount of fish within 25 years.
CleanSea was founded in 2019 and focuses specifically on protecting marine and coastal environments by actively collecting plastic and other marine debris from Sweden's west coast. Read more at www.cleansea.com.
At ETP, we want to contribute to a sustainable future in everything we do, both through our technical solutions and through concrete initiatives such as this. Every effort makes a difference.
