ETP has been developing electric solutions for truck-mounted machinery for more than two decades and was among the first to recognise the potential of ePTO technology. Today, we offer both customised solutions and standardised options through our Blue Pac concept.
ePTO solutions make it possible to power truck-mounted machinery fully or partially using electricity. By replacing the mechanical power take-off with an electric system, truck-mounted machinery can operate with the diesel engine switched off. The result is reduced fuel consumption, lower noise levels and a more sustainable vehicle fleet. Electrifying a truck-mounted machinery is a concrete step towards reducing emissions – regardless of whether the truck itself is powered by electricity or fossil fuels.

Everyday benefits in real-world operation
An electric power solution from ETP enables quiet, emission-free operation – even in environmental zones and densely populated areas where requirements are becoming increasingly strict. When the combustion engine can be switched off during operation, both emissions and fuel consumption are significantly reduced. Low noise levels also contribute to a safer, more comfortable working environment and make it possible to operate early in the morning, late in the evening or in other noise-sensitive areas.
Blue Pac is already in use by customers operating crane trucks, refuse collection vehicles, swap bodies and other heavy special-purpose vehicles.

Blue Pac Original Technical Specifications
Blue Pac Hybrid
Blue Pac Hybrid is a mobile, battery-powered solution for truck-mounted machinery that combines onboard battery technology with grid power (16 or 32 A). Using hydraulic quick couplings, the system can be connected to a flatbed in just 10–20 minutes and easily moved between different vehicles.
The battery can power the truck-mounted machinery entirely on its own or act as operational support to deliver significant fuel savings. It can also be used for peak shaving in applications that previously relied on grid-connected truck-mounted machinery with high power demands. The system is highly flexible and well suited to truck-mounted machinery with high energy requirements.
Tailor-made ePTO solutions for unique needs
Every application has its own requirements. That is why we also develop customer-specific ePTO systems for bodybuilders with special requirements in terms of space, control systems or functionality. We have experience of integrating electric drive systems into everything from crane trucks to special vehicles and municipal service applications.
Our development team works closely with the customer to ensure that the solution works in practice – technically, functionally and commercially. By optimising each component for the application's needs, we create ePTO solutions with high efficiency, reliable operation and long service life.

Blue Pac electric drive for smarter crane trucks
With Blue Pac, the crane truck is equipped with an electric power system that enables quiet, efficient and emission-free operation.
