As we approach the summer break, one thing stands out: ETP has recorded the strongest first half in the company’s history. Order intake is at a record level, interest in electrification continues to grow, and we see increasing activity across many of the industries we serve. For us, this is a strong validation of the long-term investments we have made in expertise, technology, and partnerships — and it gives us confidence as we look ahead to the second half of the year.
The strongest activity is currently coming from manufacturers of construction equipment and urban maintenance machinery, where electrification is rapidly moving from plans and ambitions to real-world implementation. More companies are moving beyond feasibility studies and actively developing the next generation of electric machines.
At the same time, electrification has evolved from being a sustainability initiative driven primarily by regulations and climate targets into a business decision that delivers measurable value. Our customers increasingly recognize the benefits of electrified solutions, from lower operating costs and improved working environments to stronger competitiveness. As a result, electrification is no longer just about compliance — it has become a strategic business opportunity.

The transition is most advanced in urban applications, where demand for emission-free construction and maintenance projects continues to grow. Regulations and customer requirements are driving adoption, while electrification delivers clear benefits such as lower emissions, reduced noise levels, and improved working conditions. To achieve global climate targets, however, larger and more demanding applications must also make the transition.
Here, we are seeing rapid progress in areas such as battery technology and charging infrastructure, making electrification viable across an ever-growing range of applications. I am convinced that we are still in the early stages of what will become a major transformation over the coming years.
Recent geopolitical developments have also highlighted the importance of reducing dependence on fossil fuels. The ability to generate and use energy locally is not only a sustainability issue but also a matter of resilience and long-term competitiveness. In this respect, the Nordic region has unique advantages thanks to its access to fossil-free electricity, creating strong conditions for continued electrification.
It is particularly rewarding to see the investments we have made over the past several years now delivering tangible results. We have continued to strengthen our expertise, deepen our partnerships, and invest in new technologies even during periods when the market was more cautious. Those investments have put us in a strong position as demand continues to increase.
Under the leadership of David Hansson, we have taken several important steps this spring to strengthen our position within high-voltage electrification. Through expanded expertise, new partnerships, and a broader component portfolio, we are well prepared to support customers as larger and more power-intensive applications make the transition to electric power.
During the first half of the year, we also continued to strengthen our relationships with leading component manufacturers. Through extensive product training and close collaboration with existing partners, we have further expanded our technical capabilities while adding new strategic partnerships that broaden our offering and create additional value for customers.
Our partnership with Electrified Motors provides access to high-performance motor solutions for demanding off-highway applications. We have also entered into a strategic collaboration with Flash Battery, one of Europe’s leading battery manufacturers with extensive experience in electrifying mobile applications. Their customizable lithium battery systems strengthen our ability to develop complete solutions optimized for each customer’s specific operating conditions and performance requirements.
These partnerships are a key part of our long-term strategy of working with world-leading component manufacturers that develop and produce their technology in Europe.
Another highlight during the first half of the year was receiving the Development Company of the Year award. To me, the recognition reflects the long-term commitment, expertise, and collaboration of our employees, customers, and partners over many years.
Looking ahead, I see many encouraging signs. Demand for electric solutions continues to grow, and more machine manufacturers are responding to customers who actively seek electrified alternatives. At the same time, many companies are navigating one of the most significant technology shifts our industry has experienced in decades, creating an increasing need for knowledge sharing and practical guidance.
This autumn, we will launch Vägen mot Elektrifiering (The Electrification Journey), a webinar series aimed at machine manufacturers transitioning from fossil-fuel-powered equipment to electric solutions. Together with our sister company HydX, industry experts, and manufacturers who have already completed the journey, we will share insights, experiences, and practical advice to help more companies take the next step. More information and registration details will be available after the summer.
We enter the second half of the year with confidence. The market continues to move in a positive direction, our offering is stronger than ever, and we remain committed to investing in the future.
Finally, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to our customers, partners, and employees. Thank you for your trust, your commitment, and your contribution to the progress we are seeing today. I look forward to continuing this journey together throughout the months ahead.
